A semi-mobile on and/or off-grid Hydroponic unit to grow and harvest crops

Agriculture • Energy and Cleantech • Food and Beverages

We will modify a decommissioned semi-truck trailer into a semi-mobile Hydroponics growing center. The standard semi-truck trailer, is approximately 53 feet long by 13.5 feet high by 8.5 feet wide. It has been designed to fill a growing consumer demand for high quality (LOCALLY) produced fresh lettuce, lemon basil, sage, thyme, rosemary, lemon balm, cucumbers, etc.

Designed features include a micro-grid system utilizing solar energy, second-life Lithium-ion batteries and a bi-directional inverter. The System will be designed to be a completely off-grid system; but capable of using on-grid power as well. In addition, the system will deploy LED lighting for the crop growing, and will harness security cameras and monitoring devices as well. The unit will integrate a proprietary advanced management and control energy efficiency system.
